Linux Love Affair!!

The first thing i did after college was to install linux, i was a techie ( a GNIIT professional from NIIT, can't believe that i am creative director today) then, anyways why did i do it, back then doing a dual boot ( having two OSes on the same system) with windows and linux was well, like scaling everest, configuring displays, drivers, hacking the kernel, setting up cross-platform networking, you just had to do it the old fashion way, by a keyboard!!, no clicks and clucks.

And at 30, i still carry an unrelenting passion for Linux, i still have a dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 8.10, and if you are up for a challenge, go ahead get a copy (it's free, just go to their site, order a CD, and you get it in 15 days!!). and try a dual boot ( well don't forget to backup your data), i promise you it will be fun, but learn the basics first!! important!!!. Instead of one desktop there are two desktop environments GNOME and KDE and more than a dozen themes to choose from. There is OpenOffice (equivalent to Windows Office) and GIMP (Adobe Photoshop). And over the years dual booting has become more easier!!
